Mountain Muse Artist Retreat

September 2026

Now accepting applications for 1-4 week self-directed artist residencies in the heart of the Payette National Forest near McCall, Idaho. (application deadline is July 15th, 2026)

We are inviting all Creatives including Artists, Writers, Musicians or any creative person who needs nature, solicitude, and community for their work.

This is an opportunity for you to remove yourself from all the distractions of modern life and cultivate your inner artist in pristine mountain wilderness. Our 26 acre retreat center is positioned in a lush river valley and surrounded with millions of acres of forest. It feels remote but is only 8 miles from McCall, Idaho. It is a safe and comfortable environment with luxurious facilities. It provides the opportunity to go inward in silence and solitude or interact with fellow artists. There are abundant inspirational spaces to explore along the river, in the meadows, among the trees or in our facilities. Goose Creek Haven will only be open exclusively to artists for this event during the month of September 2026.

Participants will be requested to respect the land and all living beings in this pristine and somewhat delicate wilderness area.

Participants will be living in community and are responsible to clean up after themselves promptly after using facilities including kitchens, bathrooms, and all shared areas. Leave it cleaner than you found it and leave no trace.

We invite 8–12 artists to come stay, create, and collaborate in our off-grid mountain sanctuary. Bring your own food and art supplies — we provide the space, the silence, and the inspiration.
